I’m Sam Jacobs, I’ve been drawing and trying to capture the world around me in pictures since I was young. The thing that bugs me the most is when I look at something that has been designed by graphic designers or a marketing team and I can’t figure out what they’re trying to say. I want to make things easier for people to buy, to read, to figure out where they need to go for an event. I want to make things that help people.
I started in the design program in high school (H.B. Beal) where it was called Communications Technology, from there I knew it was what I wanted to continue my schooling in. In Fanshawe College I got into the graphic design program for an Ontario College Advanced Diploma. From learning how to use the Adobe products I have completed many school projects, touched up images for people, made an anniversary gift that paired pictures with a poem for a client, and was consulted for how to design a website.

Through Fanshawe I am able to use many Adobe products including; Acrobat, After Effects, Bridge, Dimension, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and XD. I can also use Figma for web design.
